 RESEARCH OVERVIEW

Dr. Ferree conducts basic and applied research in human neuroscience, using electroencephalography, electrical impedance tomography, and functional magnetic resonance imaging. He specializes in the integrated use of these tools, and the development of data processing techniques that reveal fundamental aspects of brain activity in healthy and disease states. Clinical applications include the analysis of brain oscillations during cognitive tasks, the development of concise neurophysiological indices for acute stroke and other disorders, and the use of electrical impedance tomography to monitor the brain for hemorrhage and edema following stroke and traumatic brain injury.
