I am interested in human executive functions such as working memory, motivation, and inhibitory control. Specifically, I study the way that these operations are carried out in the brain using functional brain imaging techniques such as fMRI. I am also interested in how these functions are involved in reasoning, decision making, and social cognition. My clinical interests include impairments of executive functioning in autism, traumatic brain injury, schizophrenia, and dementia.
