 RESEARCH OVERVIEW

Vascular endothelial cells share both developmental pedigree and expression profile characteristics with myeloid cells, including the elaboration of an oxidant-producing NADPH oxidase. This oxidase appears to participate in several broad signaling pathways. Our work in part focuses on the mechanism by which this oxidase controls cytoskeletal and cell fate signaling in the vascular endothelium.
