 RESEARCH OVERVIEW

Substantial clinical evidence supports a bidirectional link between psychiatric illness and disturbances in feeding, body weight, and metabolism. Recent advances in the fields of feeding and metabolism now allow us to directly test focused hypotheses about the role feeding systems in the regulation of mood. By combining my basic science training with clinical expertise, I hope to shed light on the underlying pathophysiology of these clinically important problems.
