 RESEARCH OVERVIEW

Dr. Adinoff’s research has focused upon the neurobiologic alterations in chronic alcohol or cocaine dependent patients that may increase relapse risk. Using neuroendocrine and pharmacologic probes, examinations of cerebrospinal fluid, and neuroimaging (SPECT and fMRI) techniques, Dr. Adinoff explores both central nervous activity and peripheral stress-response systems in alcohol- and cocaine-dependent subjects.

 RESEARCH INTERESTS
