Biography

David Hoffman, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Hospital Medicine. 

Originally from Dallas, Dr. Hoffman holds a bachelor's degree in biomedical science from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. He earned his medical degree at the University of Texas at Houston McGovern Medical School. He completed an internal medicine/pediatrics residency training program at the University of Texas at Houston Medical School.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Hoffman joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2011. He is currently the Director of the Hospitalist Observation Unit at Parkland Hospital, as well as the Chair of the Recruitment and Retention Committee for the Division of Hospital Medicine.

At UT Southwestern, Dr. Hoffmann is the Chair of the Recruitment and Retention Committee for the Division of Hospital Medicine. He is also the Director of the Hospitalist Observation Unit at Parkland Health and Hospital System.

Dr. Hoffman is a member of the Society of Hospital Medicine and the American College of Physicians.
