I started as a project manager working on NIH funded grants almost 15 years ago, and continued to gain experience, working on randomized clinical trials (RTC) in a broad spectrum of roles; co-investigator, project director, and study coordinator, during my doctoral and post doctoral training. Currently I am newly appointed Assistant Professor, working as a co-investigator and site project director for a large multi-center RO1 (REVAMP) studying the effect of augmenting medication with psychotherapy for the treatment of unipolar depression in patients not achieving a satisfactory response to antidepressant monotherapy. I also serve as the assessment/outcome supervisor for the STAR*D project, the NIMH funded Depression Trials Network, as well as being responsible of assessment training for the department of psychiatry here at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UTSWMC).
