Dr. Lingvay graduated from medical school among the top 5% of her class. She completed the Internal Medicine Residency at Texas Tech University in 2002, and Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Fellowship at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 2005. Dr. Lingvay was selected to participate in the first class of the Clinical Research Scholars Program at UT Southwestern which she completed in 2008. In 2007 she received a National Institute of Health Career Developement Award to study the role of pancreatic triglyceride accumulation in beta-cell failure and type 2 diabetes and to further develop her career as a clinical investigator. Dr. Lingvay also received the Master in Public Health degree from University of Texas School of Public Health in Houston in 2006.
