Dr. Schwartz-Dabney is an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, having joined the faculty at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 2001. She came from Baylor College of Dentistry, A Member of the Texas A&M University Health Science System,where she went to dental school, trained in oral and maxillofacial surgery, and completed a doctorate in Biomedical Sciences.
Dr. Schwartz-Dabney's clinical interests are in dento-alveolar surgeries, maxillofacial traumatology, dentofacial deformities, and dental implantology. Her research interests are in bone development, adaptation, repair and metabolism. She has coauthored 2 scientific articles and has 3 in review. She is currently preparing a faculty development grant for submission to the National Institute of Health.
