Dr. Dasheiff joined the Dallas VA in March, 2001 but over all has been associated with the Veterans Administration for 20 years. Previously at the Oklahoma City VA and Medical School, and before that, from 1994-1999 was at Texas Tech University as Director of the Epilepsy and Sleep programs. He trained in Neurology and Epilepsy and EEG and Basic Research at Duke. Then went to the University of Wisconsin, Madison to build an Epilepsy surgery program and pursue basic epilepsy research using voltage sensitive dyes. He moved to Pittsburgh where he headed the Univ. of Pgh. Epilepsy Ctr. for a decade before being recruited to TTUHSC.
Presently he is the Medical Director of the VA Sleep Medicine Program, Co-Directs the VA EEG lab, and runs the VA Vagal Nerve Stimulator Program within the Epilepsy Program.
