Dr. Fayiga obtained his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston in 1990. After completing his general surgery residency at UT Southwestern in 1995, he pursued a Colon and Rectal Fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, completing that program in 1996. Having spent ten years in private practice in Waxahachie, Dr. Fayiga recently joined the faculty in GI/Endocrine Surgery. Dr. Fayiga’s interests include surgical education of our residents and students. His clinical area of expertise is colon and rectal surgery, including colonoscopy. His practice is based at the Aston Center, UT Southwestern University Hospitals - Zale Lipshy and St. Paul, and Parkland Hospital.
