Erin M. Welch, MD is a board-certified dermatologist dedicated to the prevention and treatment of skin cancer and skin aging. She is an assistant professor of dermatology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, where she specializes in cosmetic and laser dermatology and dermatologic surgery.
Dr. Welch trained as a dermatologist in southern California at the University of California-Irvine, where she served as chief resident. She then joined the faculty of Yale University, where she received additional specialized training in dermatologic surgery and cosmetic procedures including lasers. Dr. Welch has served on the board of directors of the California Dermatology Society and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Women’s Dermatology Society, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. She has written several articles and book chapters in major scientific dermatology publications and is a frequent contributor to academic meetings in her specialty.
