Kurt C. Kleinschmidt, MD, FACEP is an Associate Professor of Surgery in the Division of Emergency Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He also serves as the Associate Medical Director of the Emergency Department at Parkland Memorial Hospital and as faculty in the Section of Toxicology. His areas of interest include venous and arterial thrombotic diseases, toxicology, and graduate medical education issues. He graduated from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in 1986, completed his Emergency Medicine residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in 1990, and finished a clinical fellowship in Toxicology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 1999. He is board certified in both Emergency Medicine and Toxicology.
