HIV Testing and Counseling Programs
The HIV testing clinic of the Community Prevention and Intervention Unit is located at 400 S. Zang Blvd., Suite 520, in north Oak Cliff. The Clinic offers free confidential or anonymous HIV testing to anyone over 12 years of age. All results are available within 2-3 business days. Results cannot be given over the phone. Rapid testing is also available at our clinic.
Individuals seeking to get tested and/or get their results must make an appointment by calling 214-645-7300. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., plus Tuesday, 5-6:30 p.m.
Street Outreach: HIV Testing and Counseling
The Community Prevention and Intervention Unit maintains a mobile HIV testing/research vehicle. HIV prevention program workers take the vehicle out twice a month into communities where there is high-risk behavior to offer free HIV testing and risk reduction counseling services. Referrals for STDs, hepatitis testing, and social services are available to individuals requesting information and/or when necessary.
