International Students
Thank you for your interest in the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Radiation Therapy Program. UT Southwestern is a dynamic and diverse learning community that welcomes hundreds of students from around the world each year. As you prepare your application, here are some important tips to remember.
Academic Prerequisites
You’ll need to complete all of the program prerequisites, even if you’ve earned a medical degree in another country.
Transcripts
We need original transcripts and course descriptions translated into English from each college or university you’ve attended. Please mail these original transcripts—not notarized copies—to the UT Southwestern Admissions Office, 5323 Harry Hines Boulevard, Dallas, Texas 75390-9162. Please keep copies of the transcripts you send because we’ll own the originals and won’t be able to provide duplicates. We will need course descriptions in English if the transcript says only Mathematics or Physics.
Transcript Evaluations
We also need an independent evaluation of your transcripts if you received your degree from a university outside of the United States. Please send these evaluations to the Admissions Office before the application deadline. The evaluation should include subject breakdown, semester credit hours, grade, and grade-point-average breakdown for each undergraduate course. Here are contact details for some frequently used commercial evaluation agencies:

Test of English as a Foreign Language
If English isn’t your native language, we require you to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language. Please send your TOEFL score to the Admissions Office before the application deadline. We require a minimum score of 600 on the paper exam, 250 on the computer-based exam, and 100 on the iBT exam. If your TOEFL score is more than two years old, we may ask you to take the test again. Our TOEFL school code is 6686.
Visas and Immigration
The UT Southwestern International Affairs Office has a host of resources for international students and can provide additional information about visas and immigration.
