International Students

Thank you for your interest in the Bachelor of Science/Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Medical Laboratory Sciences Program. UT Southwestern is a dynamic and diverse learning community that welcomes hundreds of students from around the world each year.

At this time the program is not accepting new applications.

Academic Prerequisites

International students in our program need to complete all of the program prerequisites, even if they have earned a medical degree in another country.

Test of English as a Foreign Language

If English isn’t a student's native language, the student is required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language. We require a minimum score of 600 on the paper exam, 250 on the computer-based exam, and 100 on the iBT exam. Students with TOEFL scores more than two years old may be required to take the test again.

Visas and Immigration

The UT Southwestern International Affairs Office has a host of resources for international students and can provide additional information about visas and immigration.
