Neuroradiology

The Neuroradiology service at UT Southwestern offers both diagnostic and therapeutic neuroradiology. The highly experienced, broad-based faculty includes specialists in head and neck radiology, spine radiology, magnetic resonance imaging, and interventional neuroradiology.

Services include not only standard neuro CT and MR imaging, as well as diagnostic myelography, angiography, and discography, but also catheter-based treatments such as cerebral aneurysm coiling, carotid and cerebral angioplasty and stenting, and procedures for dissolving blood clots in stroke.

Neuroradiology/Interventional Neuroradiology offers CT and MRI scanning of the brain, head and neck, and spine, including:

• Functional MRI and CT and MR angiography
• Myelography
• Cerebral angiography
• Interventional neuroradiology
  • Cerebrovascular angioplasty and stenting
• Embolization procedures
• Spinal procedures such as discography and vertebroplasty
