Clements Imaging Building (PET Center)
The Positron Emission Tomography (PET) Imaging Facility at UT Southwestern is a state-of-the-art facility equipped with two dedicated, high-resolution scanners, including:
- Siemens ECAT HR
- Siemens Biograph 64 PET/CT scanner
The facility offers high-resolution PET scanning or organ systems and whole body scans on neurological, oncological, and psychiatric applications.
Located in the Clements Imaging Building on UT Southwestern’s North Campus, PET imaging equipment produces images that are different from those obtained from more routine imaging sources, such as x-ray, CT, ultrasound, or MRI. While these scans show what tissues look like, PET studies contain information about tissue function and metabolism.
