Senior Medical Student Electives
The Department of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center offers medical student rotations “for-credit” in the fourth year of medical school. These programs aid students who may be undecided in making a career choice and offer an opportunity to build strengths in related fields.
The Department of Radiology offers three senior elective courses in the medical school:
- Diagnostic Radiology (RAD 1501)
- Vascular and Interventional Radiology (RAD 1505)
- Neuroradiology (RAD 1507)
Each course lasts four weeks, and all three courses are offered with an evaluation grade of pass/fail. These courses are offered from August through April. Visiting students are welcome but must apply through the medical school.
