Jeanne-Marie Quevedo Named Certified Research Administrator

Jeanne-Marie Quevedo recently became a Certified Research Administrator (CRA), a designation which is achieved by passing a rigorous examination by the Research Administrators Certification Council. The CRA designation is a recognized achievement in the field of research administration which demonstrates a significant commitment to the profession and is primarily held by those supporting university research.

Certificants are expected to uphold a code of ethics and share their knowledge, to promote a culture of integrity and competency in the profession of sponsored research administration. The examination covers federal guidelines and legal requirements, budget and financial management, compliance and export controls, contracting, and a variety of other pre- and post-award topics.

There are only nine CRA certificants at UT Southwestern, and 2,452 world-wide.

Jeanne-Marie has over 20 years of experience supporting medical research grants at UT Southwestern and at the University of Michigan. She also is a member of the National Council of University Research Administrators.
