Meet the Chief
Orhan Bukulmez, MD, Associate Professor, is Chief of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
Dr. Bukulmez's clinical interests include reproductive endocrinology and infertility, hysteroscopy, in vitro fertilization (IVF), and laparoscopy. His research interests include assisted reproduction, endometriosis, genomic regulation in reproductive tissues, in vitro fertilization, and infertility.
Dr. Bukulmez received his medical degree from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in Turkey in 1989. He completed residencies at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1994; Yale University School of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1996; Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2002; and the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2004.
He was a fellow at Yale University School of Medicine in Reproductive Biology from 1994 to 1995 and at UT Southwestern in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility from 2004 to 2007. Among his awards and honors are the University of Oklahoma Academic Excellence Award and the University of Oklahoma Most Difficult Shoes To Fill for Exceptional Contributions by a Chief Resident award.
