Meet the Chief

David Scott Miller, M.D., is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Chief of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology, and Medical Director for the Division’s practice at the NCI-designated Simmons Cancer Center. He holds the Dallas Foundation Chair in Gynecologic Oncology at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Dr. Miller’s clinical interests include cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, laparoscopic surgery, ovarian cancer, and pelvic exenteration.

His research interests include antineoplastic drug development, clinical trials, gynecologic oncology, and reconstructive pelvic surgery.

Dr. Miller received his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 1977 and completed residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Hospital of the Medical College of Pennsylvania in 1981.

He was a fellow at the University of California-San Diego in reproductive endocrinology from 1981 to 1982 and Stanford University Medical Center in gynecologic oncology from 1983 to 1985. His honors include The Best Doctors in Dallas and Texas Super Doctors.
