Open Faculty Positions

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology has the following faculty positions available. Applicants for clinical positions must have completed an accredited residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and be eligible for Texas licensure. Salary and academic rank commensurate with candidate's background and experience.

Maternal-Fetal Medicine — Fellowship Director — Full Time

UT Southwestern Medical Center Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology seeks to fill the full-time faculty position of Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship Director. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with candidate’s background and experience.

M.D. degree and completion of accredited ob/gyn residency, a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine, and eligibility for Texas licensure are required. A minimum of five years of experience after completion of an ABOG-accredited fellowship training program and active involvement in research with demonstrated current academic productivity are desired. The successful candidate will provide oversight of our MFM Fellowship Program, which has long been a source of departmental pride. Additional duties will include graduate and undergraduate teaching, scholarly activity, ultrasound, direct patient care, and participation in departmental continuing medical education efforts.

Our faculty members are recognized as the authors of three major Ob/Gyn textbooks—Williams Obstetrics, Williams Gynecology, and Essential Reproductive Medicine. UT Southwestern is also responsible for the largest obstetrics and gynecology residency training program in the nation.

Maternal-Fetal Medicine — Assistant Professor — Full Time

UT Southwestern Medical Center Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology seeks to fill two positions in its Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the Assistant Professor level. Principal responsibility will be to help grow a premier university-based maternal-fetal medicine practice. Applicants should possess excellent clinical and technical skills. Position involves occasional consultation at area hospitals and shared call with other maternal-fetal medicine faculty members as well as teaching and clinical research functions.

Maternal-Fetal Medicine — Assistant Professor — Full Time

UT Southwestern Medical Center Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology seeks to fill a position in its Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with candidate’s background and experience.

The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and providing evidence-based clinical care. Principal clinical assignment will be to provide clinical coverage on the obstetrical service at Parkland Memorial Hospital, and provide teaching and mentoring to our students, residents, and fellows. The remainder of the assignment will be dedicated to teaching and academic functions.

Obstetrics and Gynecology, Generalist — Assistant Professor — Full Time

UT Southwestern Medical Center Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology seeks to fill a position in its Parkland Generalist Division at the Assistant Professor level.

Principal responsibility will be to provide excellent direct patient care as well as to teach medical students and residents. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and providing evidence-based clinical care. Clinical responsibilities will include inpatient obstetrical care as well as outpatient gynecology, family planning, and prenatal care.

Pediatric-Adolescent Gynecology – Assistant Professor – Full Time

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center™ Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology seeks an obstetrician-gynecologist with special expertise in pediatric and adolescent gynecology to join a Pediatric/Adolescent Gynecology Program in conjunction with Children’s Health℠. Principal responsibilities will be to provide excellent direct patient care; teach medical students, residents, and fellows; and help expand a signature program for children and adolescents in our community and beyond. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and providing evidence-based clinical care. Academic rank will be awarded at the level of Assistant Professor.

Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility – Assistant Professor – Full Time

UT Southwestern Medical Center Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a full-time faculty member to join the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI). The applicant should either be an active candidate or certified diplomate in the subspecialty of REI by American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The candidate should have excellent clinical and communication skills.

The responsibilities include full-time clinical practice in an academic setting at a state-of-the-art facility; active participation in helping the Department grow a premier ART program both on campus as well as at strategic off-campus location(s); providing attending faculty supervision for resident REI clinics and clinical services at Parkland Health & Hospital System; and participation in the teaching of fellows, residents, medical students, and allied health professionals. The candidate should also be interested in participating in the research activities and academic collaborative efforts within the Division and Department.

The Division is looking for an energetic faculty member dedicated to the clinical and academic visions of the institution. Close mentoring and strong institutional support will be provided. Academic rank will be awarded at the level of Assistant Professor. Upcoming and recent REI fellowship graduates are encouraged to apply.

Candidates must be eligible to work and live in the United States as a citizen or permanent resident; have an M.D. degree; have completed an accredited fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility; and be eligible for Texas licensure. Also required is board certification in obstetrics and gynecology and in reproductive endocrinology and infertility or an active candidate with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
