Dr. Steven Warach, NIH neurologist chosen to lead Seton/UT Southwestern Clinical Institute
Neurologist and senior investigator at the National Institutes of Health, Dr. Steven Warach, has been appointed founding executive director of the new Seton/UT Southwestern Clinical Research Institute in Austin.
Dr. Warach has been an investigator at NIH since 1999. He is also chief of the Section on Stroke Diagnostics and Therapeutics at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke. His research focuses on using advanced MRI methods to diagnose strokes as early as possible, said he wants the institute to foster discoveries that result in immediate improvements across the spectrum of clinical medicine.
