NIH National Cancer Institute awards top-tier comprehensive status to Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center
July 10, 2015 – The National Cancer Institute (NCI) has awarded UT Southwestern Medical Center’s Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center its highest designation, making it one of only 44 cancer centers nationally to receive this distinction over the past 44 years.
August 05, 2015 – Dr. John W. Burnside, a longtime faculty member and former Associate Dean at UT Southwestern Medical Center, passed away in San Angelo in May. He was 74.
