Austin Regional Clinic began as a professional association in 1980, and today is one of the largest multispecialty health care groups in central Texas. Austin Regional Clinic's focus is on primary care - the specialties of family practice, pediatrics, and general internal medicine. We emphasize the importance of long-term doctor/patient relationships and the coordination of care. Patient populations at this clerkship site are ethnically and socioeconomically diverse. They seek care for a variety of medical problems, which represent the spectrum of care from newborns to geriatrics. The number of patients seen per day ranges from 30 to 40. Lab, x-ray, colposcopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, and rhinoscopy are available on site.
Students will be rotating through five or more locations in Austin, Texas.
