Here are some of the questions we are most often asked by students interested in or entering into the Clinical Sciences Graduate Program.

How much is tuition?
Please visit the UT Southwestern Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences for current tuition and fees.
What payment methods are accepted?
Interdepartmental Requisition (IDR): Internal department payments

Can I take/attend a course without being admitted in a program?
Yes, as long as you are affiliated with UT Southwestern or one of our affiliated institutions. Please contact the Department of Clinical Sciences for requirements and instructions. email@example.com
When does the semester begin?
For information regarding significant dates during the school year, consult the UT Southwestern academic calendar.
How long is the program?
The required number of hours and estimated length of time in each program can vary, but general guidelines are associated with each degree plan in the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.
Will my prior course credits transfer?
Potentially. Prior coursework is evaluated on an individual basis by the program directors, mentors, and counselors.
Criteria affecting acceptance of prior course work may include:
- When the prior course was taken
- Grade received
- Program and/or course relevance
Official transcripts are required in order to approve all acceptable transfer credits.
What percentage of protected time will the program require?
50–75 percent. Master’s Degree and Certificate Program specifications and Clinical Research Scholars Program specifications are available online.
What courses are currently being offered?
Course descriptions and availability are available from the Graduate School.
What percentage of attendance is required for a course?
Attendance requirements vary.
Is there a maximum number of course credits I can take per semester?
Faculty members are limited to six credit hours during the fall and spring semesters and four hours during the summer semester. Additional limits may apply. Please contact one of the course administrators for additional information.
