Overview

The goal of the Division of Biomedical Informatics (DBI), a part of the Department of Clinical Sciences, is to address the data management and data analysis needs of the already-strong basic research and clinical research programs at UT Southwestern, and to facilitate their integration in support of translational research. An additional goal is to help educate future generations of translational scientists, who will need to be comfortable with statistics, information sciences and computer sciences in addition to biology and medicine.
