Chief of the Division of Clinical Epidemiology

The Department of Clinical Sciences at UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking applications for an individual who will serve as the Chief of the Division of Clinical Epidemiology in the Department of Clinical Sciences. We expect to add faculty positions over the next several years. The goal is to further strengthen the breadth and depth of the Department, which will provide in-depth epidemiological collaboration and consultation with all clinical investigators at UT Southwestern across all departments. 

Applicants for this position (Assistant, Associate or Professor) must have significant accomplishments in the field of epidemiology, especially as it pertains to medical disorders (e.g., cancer, cardiology, psychiatry, etc.). We aim to develop an extremely strong, world class Division of Clinical Epidemiology. Professional experience or accomplishments should include published, innovative contributions to the design or analyses of clinical or epidemiological investigations, a track record of consistently high quality publications, demonstrated leadership with management, organizational and administrative skills, and evidence of strong communication, conceptualization and teaching abilities.

The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in the development of both the Division and the Department, ensure the development of truly top-notch clinical and epidemiological investigators (in both interventional and translational research), recruit and develop additional faculty within the Division, as well as continue his/her own scientific work. Faculty Positions in Biostatistics

Assistant Professor

The Department of Clinical Sciences at UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a faculty member with expertise in biostatistics or bioinformatics. The faculty member will be working in the Quantitative Biomedical Research Group. The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate with an array of investigators, participate in teaching biostatistics to fellows and faculty, and conduct research in biostatistics and bioinformatics.

There are currently 15 full-time statistical faculty members in the Department of Clinical Sciences. The Medical Center is a fast-paced, progressive medical and scientific research environment with an international reputation.

Assistant or Associate Professor

The Department of Clinical Sciences and NCI-designated Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center at UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking candidates for a faculty biostatistician. The biostatistician will have the opportunity to collaborate with basic, translational, clinical and population-based cancer research, and health outcomes research. Successful candidates are expected to collaborate with Cancer Center investigators, as well as pursue independent research.

Applicants should have a doctoral degree in biostatistics, statistics or a closely related field, excellent oral and written communication skills and commitment to high quality methodology and collaborative research. Candidates with expertise in statistical applications in basic, translational, clinical and population-based cancer research, clinical trial design or health outcomes research and working experiences in a collaborative biomedical research setting is preferred.
