Daniel Costa, M.D.

Our group focuses on developing, validating, and implementing non-invasive MRI protocols to study prostate cancer. The challenges in imaging patients with suspected or confirmed prostate cancer can be divided in four topics: diagnostic accuracy, risk stratification, monitoring local recurrence and assessing response to therapy. Some of our specific areas of interest include high-field (7 Tesla) MRI, registration of histopathological images with in vivo MRI data, correlation of MR findings with gene profiling studies, MRI- US image fusion, and MR elastography.
