Jamie Ludwig graduated from UT Southwestern in 2013 where she had worked with John MacMillan on the discovery of new biocatalyzed transformations. She moved from UT Southwestern to the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill to work with Jeff Johnson on dynamic kinetic resolutions via enzyme catalysis. After a visiting professor position at Elon University, Jamie is currently an assistant professor at Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. She teaches Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry and has a research lab focused on developing methods to isotopically label organic molecules for use in new reaction discovery.

“The resources and opportunities available at UT Southwestern are among the best in the country, but the people there are truly the source of UTSW’s true value. While at UT Southwestern, I benefited from unwavering support from faculty, staff, and administrators that were all focused on helping me to become a successful scientist. Since leaving UT Southwestern, I have been lucky enough to continue to benefit from these great mentors, who continue to support me into the next stage in my career.”
