Program Description

The Neuropsychology Program at UT Southwestern Medical Center, in conjunction with Children's Medical Center Dallas, offers postdoctoral training in adult and pediatric clinical neuropsychology. The Program is designed to prepare neuropsychologists using APA Division 40/INS and Houston Conference training guidelines. While there is an emphasis on clinical assessment, continuous involvement in some of the many ongoing research projects in neuropsychology is expected.

Both the adult and pediatric tracks offer exposure to a wide array of patients with known or suspected brain disorders and include in- and outpatient settings throughout the medical center. The orientation to neuropsychology reflects a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches, using tailored assessments built around selected core measures. The Residency in Neuropsychology is designed as a two-year experience with multiple didactic opportunities and coursework built into the program.
