Division faculty are engaged in a broad spectrum of research activities across the clinical and translational research spectrum including: clinical epidemiology, outcomes, health services, quality improvement, medical errors, patient safety, disparities, geriatrics, palliative care, medical education, HIV, chronic disease, and translational research studies.

The Parkland-UT Southwestern Center for Clinical Innovation focuses on evidence-based approaches to improving the quality and efficiency of care in the Parkland Memorial Health System with an emphasis on harnessing/leveraging medical information technologies.
