Office of Faculty Diversity and Development

The Office of Faculty Diversity and Development launched in late 2010 as the result of one of the key recommendations of UT Southwestern’s Faculty Development Task Force. The Office is responsible for facilitating the efforts of department chairs and others to recruit and retain the very best faculty to campus. The Office is also responsible for developing strategies to assure optimal identification, mentoring, and retention of candidates.

UT Southwestern recently received a first-place award from the National Association of Medical Minority Educators for an innovative program designed to ensure racial and ethnic diversity in the health care profession.
