External Relations

The Office of External Relations is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with a wide range of constituent groups. It fosters public understanding about the value and contributions of the faculty of UT Southwestern Medical Center. The Office of External Relations manages communications and interactions between UT Southwestern Medical Center and its current and prospective donors, community leaders, the Board of Visitors for University Hospitals and Clinics, Southwestern Medical Foundation, the UT System Office of External Relations, and other external constituents.

External Relations also assists and collaborates with other UT Southwestern departments by providing strategic support, services, and assisting both internal and external audiences in gaining access to a large array of UT Southwestern resources.

External Relations supports significant fundraising initiatives across the medical center by providing experienced counsel and centralized functions for its faculty, staff, and constituents. External Relations manages activities assigned by the President that may interface with national, statewide, regional citizens to serve as ambassadors for higher education and health care at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Special Events

This office coordinates official functions and programs for the President. Through its events, the Office of External Relations strives to communicate the rich and stellar story of UT Southwestern Medical Center. These events range from intimate luncheons to large-scale dinners, receptions to two-day programs.
