Charles Geyer, Jr., MD
Alfred Gilman, MD, PhD, Nobel Prize-winning scientist and former Executive Vice-President for Academic Affairs and Provost of UT Southwestern Medical Center, serves as the Chief Scientific Officer for Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) and heads up the agency’s research division. He is responsible for the planning, developement, review, adminstration, monitoring, and reporting of CPRIT’s scientific programs.
Charles Geyer, MD, is an accomplished oncologist, clinical investigator, and professor with an emphasis in the study and treatment of breast cancer. Statewide Clinical Trials Network of Texas (CTNeT) board selected Dr. Geyer to serve as its Chief Medical Officer. In this role, he will facilitate the regulatory, quality, safety, and data monitoring of clinical studies and collaboratively work with the Stategic Steering Committee to implement the most progressive scientific initiatives.
