Joint Projects Between UT Southwestern and Other Facilities When Funded by the United States Department of Defense (DOD)
When UT Southwestern teams with other facilities to operate a DOD-funded project, the other institutions/facilities must have a DOD-approved Facility Safety Plan With Facility Safety Director’s Assurance on file with the DOD. The approval status of off-campus institutions/facilities can be checked at:

(If the link fails and states that a security problem has occurred, try copying and pasting the URL into the address bar.)
Every facility included in a joint project will be required to provide a Certificate of Environmental Compliance (CEC) signed by that facility’s Facility Safety Director. There is an alteration that should be made on the standard CEC form for each facility because the standard form is designed as a one institution/facility per project form. The DOD has heartily approved the UT Southwestern initiative in making alterations on the standard CEC form to accurately reflect the assurance provided by a given signature.
UT Southwestern EH&S staff will provide Joint Project guidance to other facility personnel if requested to do so by UT Southwestern personnel. Please contact Terry Capone via GroupWise or at 58345 for assistance.
